Thread-Topic: Keeping original image size in Frame
Unless I'm misremembering, the 72 dpi thing came from the days before "square pixels" arrived on MSDOS based PCs (remember circles that looked like ellipses on-screen, but printed correctly). The Mac had square pixels, and 72 dpi was the standard (making point and pica equivalence easier). But I may be misremembering. Anyway, as a result now we have 72 dpi as one of the FM choices for graphic import. Anybody remember when "square pixels" arrived on Windows? Was it always 96 dpi once they made that leap? Dov, you may remember these things. Craig -----Original Message----- ..<snip> For Windows, the "natural" size for a bitmap is based on 96 DPI, which you unfortunately must enter as a "custom" value. ... ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
