The LaserJet 4L did have a version with PostScript, the LaserJet 4ML, with a slighter beefier controller and more memory. You could upgrade the 4L to what I could best describe as a 4ML-, i.e., the same controller as a 4L, but without the controller enhancement. You would also need more memory. But HP certainly does not sell that upgrade to a printer that has been discontinued for at least eight years or so. And compared to today's printers, speed and print quality would leave very, very much to be desired. The OfficeJet does not have a PostScript "upgrade" or option. Personally I would recommend Xerox laser printers except the Phaser 3400 because unlike the brand to which you claim to be partial, they have Adobe PostScript, not some very problematic third party "emulation." - Dov At 3/20/2003 08:09 PM, Paul Lewis wrote: >Hi, Framers, > >I need a PostScript-capable printer for home-office contract work.
