Cross-reference markers are indeed wiped out during table sort, causing cross-references to items within the table to become unresolved - this equally applies to cross-reference markers inserted by FrameMaker and to markers inserted manually ("spot cross references"). Conditional text markers inserted by FrameMaker are not damaged by the table sort function. If you insert new conditional text markers *manually* -- these are indeed wiped out after the table is sorted. But what purpose is served by inserting conditional markers manually? Be aware also that the table sorting function itself is not 100% reliable, at least not when using FM/Windows.
