There are a number of different variants of the EPS and TIFF formats.
Not all of them are supporte by FM on all platforms, and some have
bugs in different versions of FM.

For EPS graphics, you need an included "preview" image for on-screen
display, and it needs to be in a supported format. For TIFF graphics,
there are some problems in FM7 with certain bit-depths (no. of colors).
Perhaps the following two web pages may help you further:
http://w1.184.telia.com/~u18407300/postscript/eps.html
http://w1.184.telia.com/~u18407300/graphics/graybox.html

else?

It's in an online PDF in the FM installation directory.
Also see "Unsupported formats" in the second web page above.
