Re: Frame ? (fwd)

Hi Chris,

In FM6 and above, you have the option of displaying either the filename or the
first line of the document in the book window. In the Book window, the icon to
the left of the "shiny book" (update book) icon switches between the views.
Click that icon to show the filenames, then do your name changing.

Best wishes,

Subject: Frame ? (fwd)

Hi Framers:

In some of our documents, when I try to rename a file, edit --> rename
or
f2 in the book window, I get the message

"The text cannot be changed. To change the name of this file, first
      display filenames."

How does one "display" filenames? When filenames are not being
displayed, what is? It does appear true however that in the case of
certain books, something other than the filename, maybe the first line
of the file, is being shown.

Thanks.

Chris
