Hiya - Hedley suggested that Judy could fix her problems by modifying FM's Preferences ... "Choose File > Preferences and then set Network File Locking (also called UNIX File Locking on older versions)." Hmm ... I am looking at my Preferences dialog (FM 6 on OS X) and I don't see that option. Is that new with FM7? Personally, I've never run across the problem Judy described, but we generally make a copy of the document an individual is working on to his/her local drive. The master copy can be locked by the person who has "checked out" a book but that is usually not necessary as we generally don't have multiple people on the same item at the same time.
