The vector graphics created in InDesign and for that matter any and all aggregated content including such vector graphics, placed images, and text can ALL be exported as very efficient EPS and/or PDF. Such EPS and/or PDF is not necessarily fully editable by Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator only guarantees to be able to edit EPS and PDF saved by Illustrator.
