ANNOUCEMENT: IXgen(tm) 7 for FrameMaker(r) 7

Frank Stearns Associates (FSA), makers of the popular IXgen indexing and
marker management plug-in for FrameMaker, is now shipping a new IXgen
version for use with FrameMaker 7.

Along with the familiar IXgen tool set (including the ability to edit
markers in-line or in an alphabetical list, and the ability to create
markers from paragraph and character tags or from a keyword list), IXgen 7
offers several new features including:

- Create Subentries -- single-level entries with shared roots or phrases
can automatically become entry:subentries, making your index more logical
and easier to read.

- Flip Entries -- two-level entries can have the root entry and subentry
components change places, providing a level-based permutation. Referral
constructs, such as "See" or "See Also", can also be generated using Flip
Entries.

- Validate References -- Referral constructs, such as "See" or "See Also",
can be tested to make sure the referenced entry actually exists.

- Elevate Unique Subentries -- roots with only a single subentry can have
that subentry folded into the unique root.

These new tools continue and expand the IXgen tradition of giving you
excellent index editing leverage. (Several other minor enhancements have
been made as well.)
