RE: Speed of Book Creation in FM 7

I too misread Eric's inital message and mistook opening a book file 
for "opening files in a book", or, more specifically, generating/
updating a file, such as a TOC, which automatically checks and updates 
any cross-references within the book.

For such a drastic change to take place in the delay time during 
which a book is opened from one version to another, specifically 
from 5.5.6 to 7.0, is absurd.  I too am still using 5.5.6 for 
reasons similar to Lin's (and to think I was looking forward to 
the possiblilty of an upgrade!), and I shudder to hear of such 
"features" in the new version.

*embarrassed look* I misread it--I thought he meant he was opening 
all the files in the book through the book file, which is what I mean 
when I say I'm opening the book. 

At least I confined myself to talking about 556--I haven't even _seen_ 
FM7. My company won't upgrade. *shaking impotent fist at the bean 
counters*
