Well,

Now is the time for the cries of complaint from the power users who need a
powerful, robust, and fast application not friendly fluff.
Geez, just let me turn the thing off in an options dialog somewhere.

One listmember told me off-list that it takes them 20 minutes to open a 200 file
book. It's not only me that's suffering a waste of time on this.
Would seem to me that a book file should only analyze files if and when a
generate/update is performed. Or, for the masochists or those luck enough to
working with tiny little book files the option for automatic updating could be
turned on.

IMO, any new functionality that takes even a fraction of a second should be made
optional. Additionally, the default option should be OFF. The users that
clamoured for it will then go and hunt it down and turn it on. Those that don't
need/want it will be able to carry on as normal.

I'm still hoping my rant is unwarranted and that there's a setting somewhere in
an ini file or options dialog.

Geez, and there were all those customer requests for Book level features coming
from 5.5.6 users some years back...
