Bart, I will check into this for you. Installing FrameMaker 7 on my Mac (yes folks, I do use both Windows and Mac systems) did not result is such a font installation. On the other hand, I only installed FrameMaker 7 and not the Distiller 5.0.5 that comes with FrameMaker 7 since I already had Acrobat 5.0.5 installed on my system. Whatever the case, though, no Adobe application should be installing fonts in your system font folder without your explicit approval and knowledge. - Dov At 7/16/2002 06:52 AM, Bart Windrum wrote: >But Frame 7's installer installed the type1 Times New Roman PSMT family in >my OS9.1 _system folder_ , without telling me it would, and that caused my >printed and pdf'd bullet characters to change into Yens until I pulled those >font files. > > >> The fonts you are referring to are installed only in >> Adobe and/or Adobe application private font directories, >> NOT in the system font directories. >> >> - Dov > >__________ >Bart Windrum >GUI Fit&Finish and Documentation >Diogenes Inc. >410 17th St. #1260 >Denver CO 80202 > >720 904 2321 x125 >fax 720 904 9032 >Bart.Windrum@DiogenesInc.com ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
