Hi Jane, The options that appear in the Frame Above/Below Pgf pull-downs come from your Reference Page(s). The lines are actually graphics, set in frames on the ref page. Here's how to adjust them: 1. Make sure "Borders" are turned on, so you can see them (View, Borders). 2. Select View, Reference Pages. 3. On the Reference Page, select the frame with the name of the line you want to adjust. 4. Click and drag the frame selection handles to make more or less white space around your line. 5. Select View, Body Pages to "return" to your document. NOTE: You may need to save and select Window, Refresh to see the effects of your adjustments. A couple other notes... This takes a little experimentation and back-and-forth to get exactly how you want. If you need more precise spacing, you can right-click on a ref page frame and select "Object Properties." The resulting dialog box lets you make minuscule, percentage adjustments. You might also want to experiment with the positioning of your line within the frame, which you can do by right-clicking on the object frame and selecting "Align..." HTH, Brannon ---Original--- From: Jane To: Framers; Free Framers FrameMaker 6.0 I'm having a problem with the spacing between a thick line and the text that appears below the line. I need to increase the spacing between the line and the text, but don't have a clue what I need to do. Thanks, Jane ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
