Officially, Adobe does not support FrameMaker 5.5.6 under Windows XP. Also, ATM is irrelevant to the discussion (unless you had some ancient version of ATM installed that would somehow interfere). Both Windows XP and Windows 2000 have built-in Type 1 font support. The symptoms you report sound like a problem that occurred under Windows NT 4 with FrameMaker 5.5.x versions earlier than 5.5.6. No problems with FrameMaker 5.5.6 have been reported matching what you describe either under Windows 2000 or XP (both are quite similar in terms of internals and how they handle fonts and printing). Are you sure you are really using 5.5.6 and not some earlier version of 5.5.x? The next question then is about fonts. Exactly where did you get the Type 1 Helvetica and Helvetica Condensed that you are using (assuming that they are Type 1)? Is it possible that you "converted" some Mac Type 1 fonts? The problem really seems like an encoding issue. - Dov At 6/21/2002 07:34 PM, Julie Welander wrote: >I'm going crazy. I just bought a new PC running Windows XP.
