Frame 7 XML Cookbook- Reading an XML Instance

I've completed all prior exercises in the XML Cookbook without getting any
error logs. 

Now I am on page 79, trying to open ColorDoc.xml and I get: 
Error at file C:\practice\ColorDoc.xml, 
line 1, char 81, Message: Element 'Chapter' was used in the DOCTYPE but
never declared 
line 2, char 43, Message: Root element different from DOCTYPE 

What do these error messages mean? How do I track down the problems?
