Hello Framers, I have a Frame document where the text was imported from Word. I am renaming and applying formats programatically. Everything works except some of the paragraphs have an asterisk next to the format name, indicating an override. So, what I do is choose File > Import > Formats and check Remove Other Format/Layout Overrides and click Import. The asterisk remains next to some of the paragraph formats names. The only way to remove the asterisk is to reapply the paragraph format from the paragraph catalog, formatting bar, or paragraph designer. When I examine the paragraph's properties before and after I reapply the format, it shows that they are exactly the same. The only exception is the read-only FP_FormatOverride property which is what indicates an override and triggers the asterisk. I can rename and apply formats to native paragraphs programatically without this problem happening. It appears to be limited to paragraphs imported from another program. I should also point out that it doesn't happen with all paragraphs and some of the paragraphs have absolutely no property changes in them. Thanks for any help you can give.
