In the Import Text Flow by Reference dialog box, did you perhaps select Reformat as Plain Text? I can't think of any other reason why hypertext links in a text inset would disappear. That said, I agree with Fred that (at least for short, relatively stable chapter TOCs) cross-references are less hassle. HTH! Richard ------ Richard G.
