There are some very serious "ifs", "ands" and "buts" to this ... (1) Whatever version of FrameMaker is installed last, that will be the one invoked by "double-clicking" on the file icon. Thus, if you install FrameMaker 6 AFTER 7, FrameMaker 6 will be called upon whenever clicking on ANY FrameMaker document or book icon, even if FrameMaker 7 already edited it! (2) Likewise, be careful about the installation of software BEYOND just FrameMaker, such as the Distiller. Nothing could ruin your day more than Distiller 4.05 and its old version of the driver and plugins bunnystomping on your newer installation of either Distiller 5 or Acrobat 5 plus drivers and driver plugins. - Dov At 5/31/2002 07:16 PM, Dick Gaskill wrote: >I have 5.5.6 and 6.0 on the same drive (heck, it's the asame dir tree, even) >with no problems.
