Re: Errors while Embedding TTF fonts into Acrobat files

Len,

You don't say what versions of Frutiger and Palatino you have installed.
The versions of those fonts from Adobe are Type 1 and not TrueType.
Both Frutiger and Palatino are Linotype fonts and available from Linotype
as TrueType. If you got the message about licensing problems, then you
have installed TrueType fonts that are protected against embedding. You
need to get unprotected versions of these fonts from your font vendor.
The embedding rights must be set in those fonts for at least the rights
to "preview and print embedding".

By the way, when purchasing licenses for any TrueType or OpenType fonts,
always be sure to ascertain as to (1) the written license and what it
allows in terms of embedding and (2) how the font file is actually
protected. If either one of these does not allow at least "preview and
print embedding," the license and the font are effectively USELESS to you.
Find another font vendor.
