Face should/could be red (Was: color is grey in pdf)

Gary,

What "printer" are you "printing" to for creation of a PostScript
file for distillation? If it is a "generic" PostScript printer driver
instance, you are getting exactly what you asked for, a monochrome
PostScript file. Creating PDF should ALWAYS be done via the Acrobat
Distiller printer instance (eliminates the need to manually distill
PostScript) or in the case of FrameMaker 6 (and earlier) book printing,
via a PostScript printer driver instance based upon the Acrobat
Distiller PPD. Your HP G55 printer (non-PostScript) and DSL are
irrelevant to this.

I have a wireless setup so my computers can share files and my DSL line. If I turn on printer sharing on the desktop machine, it won't boot - I don't know why, but I've learned to live with it.

(I've "installed" Acrobat's "Generic Postscript Printer" on the laptop.) Then use Distiller on the ps file to turn it to PDF, which I then transfer to the desktop to print.

I've tried Distiller's job options of Leave Color Unchanged, and Tag Everything for Color Management with no change in results. No error messages appear in the Distiller log.
