How about... Create a paratag called ColNum and configure it with white text so it isn't visible in the doc. Where you need to make the Xref, insert that paratag and enter the column number. Then create a cross reference format like "column <$paratext[ColNum]> on page <$pagenum>". I don't think the columnnum component exists, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Has anyone found this? If not, is anyone aware of a workaround or third-party tool that would permit cross referencing this way?
