You are correct in assuming that you won't be seeing a carbonized version of FrameMaker in the short term. Even if FrameMaker 7 for Mac was carbonized, you might not really like how workflows actually work (or don't) yet under MacOS X. Although MacOS X is quite stable as a basic operating system, there are still many, many problems associated with drivers, font handling, PDF creation, etc. that make the current flavour of MacOS X "interesting". If you are counting on FrameMaker to produce composite CMYK PostScript or PDF output without a hassle, you don't want the Windows version. Stay with a pure MacOS 9.x system (NOT classic under MacOS X). If the CMYK versus RGB composite PostScript or PDF output is not your issue, you will find that FrameMaker 7 under Windows 2000 or XP is very reliable and stable. - Dov At 5/2/2002 09:54 PM, Lindsey Thomas Martin wrote: >Colleagues, > >I have been away from the list for a while so hope that I am not turning over thrice plowed soil; I could not find anything in the archives. > >I have been thinking of upgrading to FM7 for Windows from FM6 for Mac because I would like to run only OS X on the Mac and do not expect to see a carbonized (or cocaofied?)
