Shlomo is absolutely correct. And this is especially true under Windows!!

Note that on the Mac, letting the Distiller find the fonts (by specifying
no font inclusion in the driver options) is CRITICAL for proper use of
TrueType fonts. There is a bug in recent versions of the Apple-supplied 
"PrintingLib" module used by the AdobePS and LaserWriter drivers that
effectively causes all TrueType fonts put into the PostScript job stream
to be done so as converted, unhinted Type 1 outlines instead of Type 42
native TrueType fonts. The result of this bug is degraded output of
text formatted in TrueType fonts. Letting Distiller 5 find and embed the
fonts eliminates this problem on the Mac (MacOS 9 and earlier).
