Not necessarily. The RMFN preference must be turned on in the FM installation that *opens* the file. The preference doesn't add any information to the file when it's saved; it controls the behavior when a file is opened. The preference setting isn't document-specific, it's installation-specific. So if you're transferring files between Mac and PC, you must make sure the preference is turned on in each and every FM installation *before* the file is ever opened.
