another nice tool for capturing screens or portions thereof on Windows is SnagIt from TechSmith. we are very happy with its simplicity and clean output. http://www.techsmith.com --- kmc ---------------- From: "Becky Swanson" <benchmark@sparknet.net> To: "Nick Franks" <nfranks@tiaranetworks.com>, <framers@omsys.com> Subject: Re: screen capture/pdf problem Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2002 23:42:35 -0500 I've had really good luck with a program called HiJaak Pro. While best known as a conversion program, it has a great screen capture feature that even lets you set a delay to allow you to pull-down menus to capture and captures the cursor, if you wish. Once upon a time, I downloaded it from Download Safari, but I don't have the bookmark here on my laptop. The screen content and user input content must be presentable (readable) in the pdf file. I've tried saving as jpeg and tiff. Both produce pretty poor text in pdf, although they print ok. Any recommendations on how to get crisp, clean images in the pdf file? I'm using windows 2000, frame 6, paint shop pro 6.02, illustrator 8.0. Thanks in advance.
