Not really a FrameMaker specific question, but here goes: The problem: Some of our documents are distibuted as paper copies with a photocopying license. We send PDFs to the printer who prints them on a docutech. I want to include a coarse halftone screen in these PDF files so that they can be printed with coarse but photocopy-friendly shadings whether from PDF -> docutech or PDF -> our office laser printer. Printing from FrameMaker to PDF via the AdobePS driver and distiller does not seem to include halftone info regardless of the Distiller driver resolution setting or Distiller resolution- and halftone-related job options. I have worked out how to save halftone info in Illustrator artwork using the EPSF Riders as documented. But then only the Illustrator artwork has the desired halftones; images and FM-drawn artwork does not. Does anyone know a straightforward way to specify a halftone screen when printing from FrameMaker that allows it to be preserved in the PDF?
