Michael, I have no choice. We're in the process of converting a large number of manuals (from Word to FrameMaker). At the same time, we're also updating a lot of these manuals. In the meantime, we're stuck with the manuals that still exist as Words docs -- and having to create .PDF files from Word. The sooner we get all of our manuals in FrameMaker, the happier I'll be! As a side note, this is what I had Carol do: In Word, select Tools>Templates and Add-Ins. What templates are listed?? I have PDFMaker.dot and PDFMakerA.dot along with R0B0HELP.DLL. AHDLookup.dot was the American Heritage Dictionary template that caused my Acrobat menu to never be displayed (it would flicker when Word was loaded and disappear). PDFMaker.dot seems to control the display of the Acrobat icons. I'm not quite sure what PDFMakerA.dot does. Jane Post: > ... I'm still having problems > creating PDF files with bookmarks for 200 page Word docs. At the risk of rekindling the eternal religious conflict: if you're using Word to create and manage 200-page documents, you're doing well to get as far as generating a PDF.
