RE: Text Inset with Conditional Text Problem

I think you're misreading Hedley, Thomas. The source of the
confusion is probably an unfortunate choice of the words "imported
content" in the description of the source file. But if you consider
that the host file contains the text inset (the reference), the
source file must be the container of the *original* content that
gets imported, exactly in line with the FrameMaker terminology.

I normally wouldn't have chimed in on this, but since it is already
the weekend in Australia, we're not likely to hear from Hedley
himself for a day or so.

My opinions only; I don't speak for Intel.

Hedley did the right thing to start by defining the terminology,
but unfortunately it differs from the way FrameMaker (and Fiona)
use the terms. Regardless which is thought of as more logical,
you're better off using FM's terminology, since it's also
reflected in the user interface.

For both cross-references and text insets, FM use the term
"source" for the document being referenced or imported, not the
document in which you insert the cross-reference or text inset.
You can see this in the Cross-Reference and Import Text Flow
by Reference dialogs.

Just a clarification...
