Verner, Repeat after me ... "Write white is never quite right" ... The Docutech printer to which you prefer has a "write white" xerographic engine. When the laser is ON, the area of the page is white. Thus, to prevent an overall gray cast to the page, the laser beam is wider than the resolution. As such, single pixel black lines tend to be very thin an anemic, if visible at all (similar to what happens of a "write black" laser printer with single pixel white lines on a black background). The Docutech has extensive image correction features that try to compensate for this problem. If you are encountering lines totally disappearing, call in Xerox to adjust the printer. - Dov PS: Remember, "write white is never quite right" ...
