Re: OT: WMF drawings from Docutech 135PS have thin and missing lines

Verner,

Repeat after me ...

"Write white is never quite right" ...

The Docutech printer to which you prefer has a "write white" xerographic
engine. When the laser is ON, the area of the page is white. Thus, to
prevent an overall gray cast to the page, the laser beam is wider than
the resolution. As such, single pixel black lines tend to be very thin
an anemic, if visible at all (similar to what happens of a "write black"
laser printer with single pixel white lines on a black background).
The Docutech has extensive image correction features that try to compensate
for this problem. If you are encountering lines totally disappearing, call
in Xerox to adjust the printer.

PS: Remember, "write white is never quite right" ...
