Subject: Recovering corrupted FrameMaker SGML 5.5.6 files

I have several FrameMaker SGML 5.5.6 files on a Solaris system that have been corrupted, apparently by the insertion of small amounts of data. FrameMaker SGML won't open them. Is there a way to force FrameMaker SGML to open these files? Is there a checksum or some other integrity check that is likely preventing them from opening? If so, is there a way to bypass that check?
