We have been battling with the source control issue for some time. Our conditionalized user guide is approx 200 pages with 300 images. When we commit it to CVS the 15 Mb book blows out to 212 Mb and nukes the server. It also loses the variable definitions when you retreive it so the TOC and Index cease to update. The compromise we are looking at now is to remove the TOC, Index and Illustrations directory before committing the remaining source to CVS. Keep a copy of the TOC and index files as templates and back up illustration files outside of CVS.(Illustrations are imported by reference). This leaves you with a text file that can be committed either as a mif file or as a manageable fm source file. Hope this helps. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
