Well what machine are you on?
Me: WinNT, FM5.5.6.

Don't know if your quip was tongue-in-cheek, but my response has nothing to do
with having to be right. I -AM- right for my installation. If it is different on
other installations, it would be good to be able to get the differences known.
It's been so long since I used FM on a Mac that I've forgotten many of the
differences between Windows/NT/Mac that I once knew.

I didn't just respond to your post hastily. I checked my assumption with the
exercise I posted. The person who originally asked the question had better do a
similar test on theirs. Otherwise, they will be either missing a shortcut (if
your way works) or they will not be getting the correct results (if their
installation behaves the same as mine).

Perhaps it isn't strange, but the quick reference card makes no mention of
differences between platforms or the alternate CTRL-space for use in the 'To
Find' list. Under 'To Type' both "Esc space h" and "Control-space" are listed.
