Eric, It is true that every valid XML DTD is a valid SGML DTD. However, XML DTDs can use optional features of SGML that not every SGML parser supports. Unfortunately, the SGML parser used by FM+SGML does not support some optional features used by XML. --Lynne Lynne A.
