I just installed FM+SGML 6.0. In Frame 5.6.6, when you wanted to upgrade an EDD produced by an earlier FM version, you proceeded as follows: 1. Open the EDD and save it as a 5.5.6 doc. 2. Open any doc into which the the element definitions from the earlier version of the EDD had been imported, and save it.as a 5.5.6 doc. 3. With both upgraded docs 1 & 2 open, put input focus in doc 2, and import the element definitions from doc 1 into it. A message appeared, asking if you wanted to upgrade the EDD to version 5.5.6 By Responding "Yes", FM+SGML proceeded to upgrade the EDD. I followed the procedure above using FM+SGML 6.0. The message asking whether you want to upgraded does not appear, and the EDD does not get upgraded. I searched through the miserable @#$!% 6.0 on-line help. Nothing. I looked through the 6.0 Developer's Guide (now in PDF and full of conversion errors as described by T. Michaenec. Nothing. So, does anyone know how to upgrade an EDD from 5.5.6 to 6.0? ==================== | Nullius in Verba | ==================== Dan Emory, Dan Emory & Associates FrameMaker/FrameMaker+SGML Document Design & Database Publishing Voice/Fax: 949-722-8971 E-Mail: danemory@primenet.com 177 Riverside Ave., STE F, #1151, Newport Beach, CA 92663 ---Subscribe to the "Free Framers" list by sending a message to majordomo@omsys.com with "subscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
