Hi Hedley, This is not the case, at least with FrameMaker 6. When you change the paragraph format of the source paragraph and update the cross-references, FrameMaker still sees it as a paragraph cross-reference. It correctly lists it in the cross-reference dialog box under its current paragraph tag. I haven't followed this thread too closely, but I don't think cross-references ever change from paragraph to spot. This is what APPEARS to happen when you double-click on an UNRESOLVED paragraph cross-reference. The cross-reference dialog box will list cross-reference markers instead of paragraphs. Once the cross-reference is resolved (if it can be) it will again list the source paragraph tag and paragraph when you double-click on it. For you FrameScript users, I am preparing a tutorial on inserting both paragraph and spot cross-references with FrameScript. I will post an announcement when it is up on my web site. Thanks. The cross-reference should still work correctly, however. [Is > that confusing enough?
