Hi Barb, Save the file as MIF, then open it in the lower-rev version. Frame throws away any MIF data it doesn't understand (so the error or console window will be full; ignore that too). Note that any feature implemented in the higher-rev file will be similarly ignored or munged; for example, the <$chapnum> variable will appear as text. Good luck, Tom Neuburger www.twelfthnight.com Ostapina, Barb wrote: >Is there a way to save FM 6 files "down" so they can be opened by FM 5.5.6? >We have inherited some files that FM acknowledges are (or at least appear to >be) FM files, but insists that they cannot be opened by "this release" of >FM. >Thanks, >Barb >barb.ostapina@experian.com > >Opinions expressed are mine and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of >Experian, >and may not even be coherent. > >"Diplomacy is the art of letting someone have your way." > ~ Daniele Vare > > > >** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** >** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. ** ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
