Hi Brandon, You have the answer below. Use <$volnum> foruUnit numbering, and <$chapnum> for chapter numbering. A "volume" is really a numbering scheme for a group of chapters, just as you have it. You can create Unit intro pages with the unit number in the title, use volume and/or chapter numbers in headers and footers, export vol/chap numbers to auto-generated files, etc. Use the Book File window Numbering properties to set the volume and chapter number for the various files and you're all set. I want both Volume (unit) numbers and >Chapter numbers to be automatically generated. An example follows: > >Unit 1 >Chapter 1 >Chapter 2 >Chapter 3 >Unit 2 >Chapter 4 >Chapter 5 >Chapter 6 >Unit 3 >Chapter 7 >Chapter 8 >Chapter 9 >Etc. > >Any help would be greatly appreciated. > >Thanks. > >Brandon Benedicto >E-mail: brandon.benedicto@ncr.com ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
