You give precious little information with which anyone can assist you. (1) What platform and drivers did you use to create the PostScript that was distilled into PDF? (2) What fonts are exhibiting the problem? Are they embedded in the PDF file? (3) What do you mean by "printed it in color to a high end machine?" Is this PostScript? What model printer? What settings? (4) Are these problems of "running over bold text" showing up in the displayed document? With all printing?
