Fellow Framers, Quoting one small snippet of an interesting thread: <soapbox switch on> I find it's much better for the body and the pocketbook to try a less invasive method, if it's right for you. It's also critical that your workstation, including chair, table, PC setup, mouse and pad and wrist rest meet or exceed recommended ergonomic settings. </off> end quote This topic got me thinking I should share some of the knowledge I've acquired this year. It's a long story, but I have some facility safety duties, which includes ergonomics. I've even taken ergonomics training this year through my local Safety Council. There's a lot of information out there, but a few useful sites are: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ergopage.html http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ergo.html http://www.ergoweb.com http://sg-www.satx.disa.mil/hscoemo/index.htm http://www.tifaq.com As several Framers observed, everyone's situation is different. And the types of injuries caused by today's computing have not been around long enough to have definitive answers. But do look at your whole situation. And consult office ergonomists if you continue to have problems (as well as your medical staff). Feel free to reply off-list with other questions. I'll try to help. And please share any sites with the rest of us you have found interesting or useful on this topic. Thanks. Paul K.
