[cross-posted to framers (2) and wwp-users] Technical Trainer & Consultant Scriptorium Publishing Services, Inc., provides technical documentation services to high-tech companies. We need a technical trainer & consultant to join our team. In this position, you deliver FrameMaker and WebWorks Publisher classes (both public and corporate) to our clients. You also work with clients to develop publishing solutions; for example, building custom templates and conversion processes to deliver FrameMaker-based information. Ideally, the technical trainer will also research new ways of delivering training, such as developing CBT or WBT. The technical trainer will work with other Scriptorium Publishing staff to identify new technology for which we want to develop new courses. If you are a great classroom trainer and an expert in FrameMaker and WebWorks Publisher, we want to hear from you. This is a part-time staff position. (If you prefer a subcontracting arrangement, please send a note to contracts@scriptorium.com, and describe your experience, availability, and rates.) Benefits: Although we are a small business, we offer an impressive array of benefits. These include bonuses; health, life, and disability insurance; flexible working hours; paid vacation and holidays; and a retirement plan. Note that part-time employees are not eligible for most insurance; they do, however, participate fully in the retirement plan and several other benefits. For more information about Scriptorium Publishing, see our web site at http://www.scriptorium.com. We are based in North Carolina and prefer candidates in this area; we will, however, consider telecommuters. Requirements: * Outstanding technical training skills * Expert knowledge of FrameMaker, WebWorks Publisher, and other publishing technology (Acrobat, SGML, XML, and single-sourcing concepts) * A minimum of five years experience as a technical writer, editor, and technical trainer (in any combination) * Experience using Internet protocols (email, ftp, WWW) * The ability to meet deadlines * The ability to work with a wide variety of people and interact professionally with clients, both informally and in a classroom environment * An excellent attitude and a sense of humor * Available for travel (up to 50%) Pluses: * Adobe Certified Expert in FrameMaker * Certified WebWorks Publisher trainer * Courseware development experience, including CBT and WBT * Certified Technical Trainer * Consulting experience * Technical writing and editing experience To apply, please send your resume in FrameMaker, text, or PDF format to careers@scriptorium.com. If you have a web-based resume, please send the URL. **Microsoft Word documents will not be accepted.** In your cover letter, be sure to tell us why you are interested in Scriptorium Publishing. ************************************************************* Sarah O'Keefe Scriptorium Publishing Services, Inc. okeefe@scriptorium.com 919-481-2701 x13 FrameMaker for Dummies: http://www.scriptorium.com/books.html Advanced WWP training: http://www.scriptorium.com/advwwp.html ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
