The first thing I would do is to make a copy of the mif file and delete the
offending parts, one at a time, opening it in FrameMaker each time to make
sure I hadn't destroyed anything important. The worst than can happen is
that you can destroy your mif copy, and you can easily recover from that.

There is a MIF reference available on Help > Online Manuals (at least in
5.5.6).
