I, for one, can vouch for these primitives. I've been able to create a lot of flow diagrams using cross-references to other text areas and just plain diagrams that size quite nicely. Yes, there's a better way. When you install FrameMaker there is a folder called Clipart that has a file in it containing flowchart primitives.
