Ian, If you want to be able to see the pictures you import on another platform, you need to set up your FrameMaker preferences IN ADVANCE on the source platform. File | Preferences... Turn on the Save FrameImages for Imported Graphics checkbox. Frame will then save a low-resolution preview of its own devising along with the file. Adds a little overhead, not the best way to do detailed graphics like Frame-added callouts, but if you only need to verify that you're writing about the correct screen, or to squint-read something on that screen for use in the text, it should do what you need. You also need to make sure you include ALL of the files required to work with the book AND that all files and path names are legal for both operating systems involved. Frame online doc includes some text about working cross-platform, read it. It's not perfect and won't explain everything about all three platforms to anyone, but if you're more familiar with one than another it should help. Good luck! You imported the graphic by copy, which means that the graphic is physically part of your document file. The only way you'll see a referenced file is if you import by reference, not copy. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
