Hi, I read through all the web info about FM 6, and noticed: - WWP added. Good! although we already paid for it. - XML export. Just in Time. - crossbook find and spell. Finally! - Still no PDF import on UNIX (Sun in my case). Whadda shame! - No FM6 on Linux (yet?) Maybe we should start a tread on the mailing lists that Adobe Acrobat might be discontinued, as it is (already!) discontinued on UNIX from version 3, and in the latest version (6) of FrameMaker, Adobe did not see the need to add import-and-display-PDF. I know that UNIX has display-PS, but in cross-platform environments it would be Sooo handy to have all the image formats supported on ALL the platforms. Adding WWP and XML got me thinking. Is there a new engine to handle the XML export that is way better than the Frame-HTML export? If so why can that not do HTML too, which means there is no need for the WWP? I guess we have to wait for the real thing to find out. Maybe Mark can pull some strings to add PDF import to UNIX and Linux in the meantime...
