If you change the name of the file in the MIF file I do not believe this will work. When you import a graphic into frame it use a filter for that specific graphic type. I you change the name of the file name it will still try to use the precious filter. This is as far as I know. > ---------- > From: Thomas Michanek[SMTP:thomas.michanek@telia.com] > Reply To: Thomas Michanek > Sent: Friday, March 03, 2000 5:50 PM > To: Framers; Avram Baskin > Subject: Re: Inserting Screen Shots > > From: Avram Baskin <avramb@pciwiz.com> > Subject: Inserting Screen Shots > >In the middle of a project my company has decided to switch from WMF to > GIF > >as the file format for our screen shots. > >Is there a way to change links from the *.wmf files to the *.gif files > >without inserting them all over again? > > To the best of my knowledge, this cannot be done using the Frame UI. > You can probably do it with FrameScript (Windows/Mac), and most > certainly by saving to MIF and batch edit the file references. > If you happen to be on UNIX, I can help you with the latter. > > - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - > Thomas Michanek, [Michagon], Linkoping, Sweden > Documentation Consultant, FrameMaker/UNIX expert > EMAIL: mailto:Thomas.Michanek@telia.com > WWW: http://go.to/framers , or go directly to: > http://w1.133.telia.com/~u13304072/framers > - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - > Subscribe to Omni System's "Free Framers" list: send an email > to majordomo@omsys.com with "subscribe framers" in the body > > > ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** > ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. ** > ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
