This does not work for the problem described because the empty text lines we were discussing are not contained in any flow. They are the flowless text type created by the TEXT LINE tool under the graphics tools.

To get rid of empty paragraph, just use Find/Change. Type \P\p in the Find
slot, turn on wildcards, leave the replacement text slot empty, and click
Change All.
