Re: Adobe Interest

It was through the other list that I *met* Dov Issacs. He was instrumental
in solving a major problem I had with a commercial printer that was trying
to place the blame on me for the misprinting of a 600 page book. Dov's
objective analysis, after speaking by telephone with both the commercial
printer's computer techie and me, saved the publishing of the book (and
vindicated me, by the way).

If it were up to me, I would invite any, and all, of Adobe's personnel,
especially those involved with FrameMaker, to become a part of this list. I
think we need their expertise and they need to hear our gripes and
suggestions.

One other issue about our new list that I haven't seen mentioned is the
participation or lack thereof of Adobe personnel -- I'm thinking
specifically of Trish Mudgett and Dov Isaacs, who've been very informative
and helpful over the last year or so that I've been on the FrameUsers list.
Trish does seem to try to keep us abreast of product stuff as much as
she's able, and Dov is an amazing resource for any printing questions. Are
they interested in monitoring this list as well? Do we want them to? How
does their presence or absence affect the effectiveness of our collective
enhancement suggestions?
