Hi all,
I need graphics from Illustrator (vers. 10) imported with transparent
background into FrameMaker (6.0) on a Windows 2000 Professional platform. I have tried Save As- and Export-formats but have not found
a graphics format that satisfies my need. The eps-format contains a selection for Transparent preview, but oddly enough this does not work.
"Adobe FrameMaker doesn't support transparency in image files (for example, EPS, TIFF, GIF, or JPEG). When you import an image, FrameMaker maps any transparent pixels to white to enable irregular text runarounds. If FrameMaker did not map transparent areas of images to white, text runarounds would not work correctly with the image."
