Subject: Frame Distiller v. Acrobat Distiller

I've had the full Acrobat 4.05c on my machine for quite a while, which means that I had the Distiller version from the Acrobat install. My department is switching from Word to Frame, so our LAN department installed FrameMaker on my PC. When they did so, they installed the Distiller version from the Frame installation CD (in spite of my pleas not to do that). They ended up blowing away my Distiller printer instance, which I have since re-created. In Dov's recommended installation order, he instructs people to install the Distiller printer, Acrobat, and Frame in that order. Since the LAN folks screwed up, should I have them re-install Acrobat so that I'm using the Distiller from the Acrobat install instead of the one from the Frame install? Or will my workflow be okay with the Distiller from the Frame install? Rick ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
