Dan,
  FM+SGML 6.0 happily processes FM+SGML 5.5.6 EDDs, so it is not necessary to
convert.
  If you want to make the conversion anyway, create a new 6.0 EDD, and copy
and paste the contents of the 5.5.6 EDD into the new one.
