OFF-TOPIC: New Formatting Styles in Office 10

Microsoft's next version of Office, currently called Office 10, has
just gone for its first external beta. In a sneak preview in Woody's
Office Watch, they mention among the new features:

   "some effort to make formatting easier with a more accessible
   alternative to styles."

I wonder if this means something more along the lines of Frame's
catalogues? Any loose-lipped beta testers care to speculate?
